On April 23, the “2019 Shanghai 5G Innovation Development Summit and China Unicom Global Industry Chain Partner Conference” was held at the Shanghai World Expo Center. The theme of the conference was “China Unicom 5G — Seeing the Future Together”. More than 3,000 guests from world-renowned telecom operators and industry chain partners attended the conference, including representatives from CITIC Telecom International.

At the conference, CITIC Telecom and many other well-known operators and digital service providers such as Telefónica, NTT, Orange and British Telecom, together with China Unicom, kick-started the “5G International Cooperation Alliance”. The alliance aims to explore 5G roaming industry cooperation model and work hand in hand to help the development of the 5G roaming industry chain.
