CTM and Macau IAS Join Hands for CTM Wi-Fi Hotspots to Serve Social Service Facilities
In order to further promote the development of “Digital Macau”, CTM, a subsidiary of CITIC Telecom International, has actively built and exploit diversified scenes for free CTM Wi-Fi service, and is committed to providing free and high-quality wireless broadband services to the public as to enjoy the intelligent life. On May 6 2019, CTM is pleased to announce that with the support of the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS), the free CTM Wi-Fi hotspot is officially available at the 9 frontline service units of IAS and 55 centers of various social service organizations, allowing to service users from various districts of Macau can enjoy this convenient and free network service.
The Social Service Facility CTM Wi-Fi Launching Ceremony was held on May 6. Officiating guests included Deputy Head of the Social Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR Dai Ruming, Director of IAS, Wong Im Mui, Director of CTT, Derby Lau, CEO of CTM Vandy Poon, Vice President of Commercial of CTM Ebel Cham, under the support of representatives from various social service organizations, to announce the entry of the CTM Wi-Fi hotspot to service unites under IAS and various social service centers.
Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM, said that in order to continue to meet the needs of the society for the development of smart city, CTM has made large scale investment in building the basis of 4G+ and Fiber to All, CTM has also actively built the CTM Wi-Fi hotspot network, bringing the free CTM Wi-Fi services to residents’ daily life scenes, opening up a more innovative and intelligent experience for residents, tourist and merchants, CTM Wi-Fi covering all recreation area of Social Area, Senado Square, Taipa Village, NGO service agencies and facilities, terminals, all public buses throughout Macau, and all TurboJet vessels travel between Hong Kong and Macau.
