On March 5, 2018, CITIC Telecom International Holdings held the 2018 Working Conference to comprehensively summarize its work in 2017 and to lay down the goals and focuses of work in 2018 based on the established objectives of “growing in strength, quality and scale; achieving higher standards, and delivering top-rated results”. Every staff need to be united and solid, as the Group is advancing into a new stage of full scale and leapfrog development. Over 80 staff attended the conference, including the management team member of CITIC Telecom and other staff from 1616, our subsidiaries CTM, CPC, and subsidiary in Singapore.

The meeting started and concluded with the speech made by Mr. Xin Yue Jiang, executive director and chairman of CITIC Telecom. Xin emphasized that ‘Wisdom and Integrity, for foster Prosperity’ is the core value of CITIC Telecom, and we are committed to being responsible to investors, customers, employees, the society, the government, and the Group’s development. We aimed to grow in strength, quality and scale, in order to become a company with a century’s history but a young mind. After a few years of nurture and integration, including improving the external environment of CTM, increasing investment to improve the network quality, carrying out M&A of Acclivis and Linx along the ‘Belt and Road’, and nurturing new businesses, the company has accumulated strengths to progress to a new stage of full scale and leapfrog development. Managers at all levels must strengthen their learning, train up talents, recruit talents and speed up the development of international first-class teams with righteousness, courage, ambition and energy, bringing the company’s performance to a new height.

Mr. Lin Zhenhui, executive director and chief executive officer of CITIC Telecom, gave a report titled ‘Be United and solid, Advancing into a new stage of full scale and leapfrog development of the Group’ and reviewed the “13th Five-Year Plan” and the Group’s goal of “growing in strength, quality and scale; achieving higher standards, and delivering top-rated results”. He pointed out that, although there were many challenges in 2017, we still strove to complete the annual budget targets through joint effort. The company’s net profit reached a record high of HK$880 million. The external environment of CTM has been greatly improved and its internal strength has become more solid. It has been ranked among the top in a few network speed rankings in the world, laying the foundation for further growth. CPC has completed Linx’s acquisition and integrated it as CPC Europe, which expanded its coverage and upgraded its products, while continuously generated revenue and contributed to profit growth. 1616 actively transformed itself as an Internet-oriented company; which A2P, Signaling, DataMall and other services achieved substantial growth. The Singapore-based regional enterprise service sector was initially formed. For 2018, Lin said that we need to closely focus on the Group’s development strategy and the industry trends of ‘Cloud’, ‘Bid Data’, ‘IoT’, ‘AI’, ‘Mobility’ and ‘Block Chain’ and material transformation”. CTM will strive to transform into a smart city operator to build a “Digital Macau”. CPC focuses on growing the scale of global coverage and vertical industry products. For 1616’s international business, we will strengthen strategic cooperation, expand the scale of new products, and promote the Internet-oriented transformation of the company’s operations, advancing into a new stage of full scale and leapfrog development of the Group.
