Chairman Xin Yue Jiang visits subsidiaries in Southeast Asia, strives to increase effort in developing business in the region

In order to implement the principle of “deepening and refining, coordinate for development” and achieve the goal of “advancing into a new stage of full scale and leapfrog development of the Group”, Xin Yue Jiang, Chairman of CITIC Telecom International started a ten-day business trip to Southeast Asia on July 5, 2018. During the tour, he visited the group’s business units in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, and met with local embassy, customers, partners and employees.

Chairman Xin had a meeting with employees of the Group’s subsidiary in Thailand, Pacific Internet, and visited Pacific Internet’s data centre. He also met the President from Huawei Thailand and exchanged new ideas on further business cooperation. Besides, Chairman Xin participated in the tree planting activities held by Pacific Internet Thailand, joining local employees and their families to contribute to environmental protection.

In Malaysia, in addition to visiting local offices and meeting with employees, Chairman Xin also met with the leading local operator, Maxis, to discuss on further collaboration. Maxis also expressed their strong support to the group.

In Indonesia, Chairman Xin visited the first secretary of the China Embassy in Indonesia. The Embassy welcomed the Group to further its business development in Indonesia. As an emerging economy, Indonesia has huge development potential; and with the support of its business partners, the Group will continue to explore business opportunities in Indonesia.

As the headquarters of the Group’s business in Southeast Asia, Singapore is an integral part of the Group’s development in the region. Chairman Xin had a group meeting with over 100 staff from several local subsidiaries, including CITIC Telecom International (SEA), CPC Singapore, Acclivis and Pacific Internet. During the meeting, Chairman Xin stressed the importance of building teams. The Group must put emphasis on cultivating talents and building corporate culture. He also encouraged colleagues to keep learning and moving towards “three first-class teams”. With excellent teams, the Group will be able to accelerate our business development in Southeast Asia, and continue to grow in strength, quality and scale. Chairman Xin also answered questions from the staff at the scene. The atmosphere was warm like an international family.
