On May 27, 2019, CITIC Telecom International Holdings held the 2019 Working Conference with over 70 staff attended, including the management team member and staff from our subsidiaries, CTM and CPC. The objective of the conference was to summarize our work in 2018 and 1Q of 2019, analyze internal and external situation, plan for future work, boost morale, seize opportunities, cope with challenges and overcome difficulties to meet the budget in 2019 and achieve the goal of “growing in strength, quality and scale; achieving higher standards, and delivering top-rated results”.

The theme of the conference was “Always Keep a Clear Mind and Insist on Innovative Development – growing in strength, quality and scale; achieving higher standards, and delivering top-rated results”. Xin Yue Jiang, Chairman of CITIC Telecom made the opening speech, followed by a keynote speech by Tiger Lin, CEO of CITIC Telecom. Dr. Lin summarized work done in 2018 and 1Q of 2019, and analyzed current situation, especially the impact of the Sino-US trade friction, as well as planning for the next step. Dr. Lin also invited heads from different units to talk about their respective business development, including headquarters, CTM, CPC and Singapore subsidiaries.

At last, Chairman Xin concluded the meeting. He said that the current situation is full of challenges. We must always keep a clear mind and insist on innovative development. A complex environment will motivate us to develop faster. We shall not lose confidence because of external challenges. Chairman Xin also stressed that we need to recognize the current risks, build a strong team and accelerate business development. As a responsible company, we will continue to work hard and be responsible for our shareholders, employees, the society, and for the company’s own development.

Through the conference, each business segment has defined the key directions of work. The Group will focus on the direction of “Internet-oriented integrated telecommunications enterprise” to innovate, control risks, improve quality and reach new heights.
