Jointly Promotes Development of Open Gateway Applications
(17 December 2024, Hong Kong) CITIC Telecom was invited to exhibit at the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, held from 19 to 22 November, and as one of the first batch of supporting organisations, also attended the launch ceremony of the “GSMA – China Unicom Open Gateway Global Use Case Innovation Challenge” to jointly promote the development of Open Gateway applications with industry partners.

At the summit, CITIC Telecom showcased its development direction and achievements in Open Gateway, the technological capabilities and future development blueprint of its Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform, as well as its “FairFareGo” project, which won the first prize in the 2024 GSMA Shanghai MWC Open Gateway Hackathon Competition, engaging in interactive exchanges with global technology experts and business partners to introduce the Company’s breakthroughs and technological innovations in the Open Gateway project, and actively participating in various thematic forums during the conference to delve into industry trends, technological innovations, and market dynamics. This participation in the World Internet Conference not only allowed CITIC Telecom to showcase the technical strengths and innovative achievements of its NaaS platform, but also strengthened its ties with global markets and industry leaders, promoting the sustainable development of the Open Gateway project.

Going forward, CITIC Telecom will collaborate closely with GSMA, global developers, and operators to further improve the capabilities of its NaaS platform and expand the application scenarios of the Open Gateway API. This will not only include existing 5G technology and mobile network applications, but also cover future technological innovations and industry needs. This initiative will greatly promote the opening up of telecommunications network capabilities to support the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of various industries, and meet their diversified needs in the digital age. At the same time, CITIC Telecom actively welcomes and invites major partners and enterprises to jointly create and enrich the Open Gateway ecosystem. This ecosystem will gather innovative forces from various industries and fields through openness and cooperation, jointly developing and applying new technologies and services based on 5G and mobile networks, driving the continuous development and technological innovation of the industry.
