On May 28, 2013, CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited held the groundbreaking ceremony of Data Center in Ap Lei Chau. Representatives of CITIC Pacific property Department, the project contractor Huawei, representatives of property management office and project consultant, Management of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited were present the ceremony.

Mr. Xin Yue Jiang, Chairman of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited, conveyed his gratitude for the generous support from CITIC Pacific, Huawei and all relevant partners in his speech. He stated that the development in Ap Lei Chau is the third phase of the Date Center’s project, which is another important milestone of CITIC Telecom with its strategic significance. He added the team would diligently strive to implement the project with contractors closely, including remaining good work relationship with various organizations, securing the construction safety, to ensure the quality of the construction and complete the project on-time.

As the project contractor, Huawei intends to work more closely with the various partners, to exert its company’s technical superiority, safety and high-quality by completing the projects on schedule.

The total area of Data Center in Ap Lei Chau (including subsidiaries area) is nearly 55,000 square feet. It will become the core Data Center of CITIC Telecom in Hong Kong Island, which provides the solid support to the Group in aspects such as ICT business development after completion.
